FAFSA Workshop

During this in-person workshop, one or more financial aid experts will be available to assist parents and students in completing the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Who needs to file the FAFSA?

Any student considering attending college needs to complete the FAFSA to apply for scholarships, grants, and other financial aid such as work-study funds and loans. Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free and easier than ever. It also gives you access to the largest source of aid to help pay for college or career school.

In addition, many states and colleges use your FAFSA information to determine eligibility for state and school scholarships and grants. Some private aid providers may use the information to determine whether you qualify for their scholarships.

What will I need to fill out the FAFSA?

To complete the FAFSA, students and contributors (parents) will need:

• Social Security Number or Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)

• A StudentAid.gov account username and password to log in to StudentAid.gov and start the FAFSA form electronically (previously called FSA ID).

You may need the following information, depending on your specific circumstances:

• Your 2024 federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned.

• Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)

• Records of child support received in last calendar year.

If you are a dependent student, you will also need your parent’s email address.

Please note: Our “drop-in time” ticket is a window of time to come to the workshop. This allows us to better plan for the flow of workshop attendees.
