What does it take to be a champion?

College for West Virginia (CFWV) coordinates annual college-planning milestones to help students in West Virginia plan their pathway to education or training beyond high school.

Why this matters.

These events, initiatives, and activities are more important now than ever to West Virginia and the students of West Virginia. According to the West Virginia Climb initiative, we will soon need at least 60% of West Virginians to hold a certificate or degree to meet workforce demands. However, in 2016, only 31% of West Virginians held an associate degree or higher. By participating in three or more of these events, initiatives, or activities, college partners will help support efforts to bridge the educational gap to ensure that West Virginia’s workforce remains competitive.
